因是合乐的歌词，故又称曲子词、乐府、乐章、长短句、诗余、琴趣等。

始于唐，定型于五代，盛于宋。

宋词是中国古代文学皇冠上光辉夺目的一颗巨钻，在古代文学的阆苑里，她是一座芬芳绚丽的园圃。

她以姹紫嫣红、千姿百态的风神，与唐诗争奇，与元曲斗艳，历来与唐诗并称双绝，都代表一代文学之盛。

后有同名书籍《宋词》。

简介 宋词是继唐诗之后的又一种文学体裁，基本分为：婉约派、豪放派两大类。

婉约派的代表人物：宋代词人：李清照、柳永、秦观等。

豪放派的代表人物：辛弃疾、苏轼、岳飞、陈亮等。

远从《诗经》、《楚辞》及《汉魏六朝诗歌》里汲取营养，又为后来的明清戏剧小说输送了养分。

直到今天，她仍在陶冶着人们的情操，给人们带来很高的艺术享受。

词的初期极尽艳丽浮华，流行于市井酒肆之间，是一种通俗的艺术形式，五代时期的《花间集》就很明显地展露了词美丽绚烂的文采，但是这期间的词题材还仅限于描写闺情花柳、笙歌饮宴等方面，可以说还显得很“小气”。

当时的词被认为是一种粗俗的民间艺术，不登大雅之堂，以至于宋朝的晏殊在当上宰相之后，对于他以前所做的词都不承认是自己写的。

宋朝的艳妓之多，水平之高为其它朝代所罕有，她们和宋朝的才子们一起共同推动了词这一新兴艺术形式在民间的广泛流传。

但是，随着词在宋代的文学中占据越来越重要的地位，词的内涵也在不断地充实和提高。

“人不寐，将军白发征夫泪。

”奠定了边塞词在宋词中的地位，使只闻歌筵酒席、宫廷豪门、都市风情、脂粉相思之类的世人一新耳目。
