Some horses live in North America, South America, Europe, and Australia. Fifty-five million years ago horses were dog sized.Horses are black, brown, white, and spotted.Horses like to eat grass. Horses live on a farm and outside.
Horses played a big role in the development of our country. They carried people west. They pulled covered wagons, firewagons, farmers' plows, and stagecoaches.They carried the mail. In the 1900s the horse was replaced by the car and the train.
The largest horse is the Percheron. It is 21 hands high. The smallest horse is the Falabella. It is only 7 hands high. Horses usually have one baby a year. They live 25 to 35 years.
I wish I could be like a horse because they know when they are in danger. They can see so well because their eyes are on the sides of their faces.

Meanwhile a little girl named Emma had found the leprechaun's magic coin. “Hey, look at this!” she exclaimed to her mom.
“Wow,” said her mom, “I think it's a real leprechaun coin. Without it the leprechaun can't get around very fast. You'd better go to the woods and try to find the leprechaun who lost it.” So the girl hurried off into the woods.
A few minutes after the girl entered the woods she saw a little leprechaun moving very slowly through a patch of three-leaf clovers.She said, “Here's your coin back.” The leprechaun was very grateful. He gave the girl three wishes and set off, never to lose his coin again.

How to Make Boiled Eggs
Materials: a pan, hot water, one or more eggs
Step one: Pour the hot water into the pan and let it boil on the stove.

ont of it. It pecked them quickly and soon the food was gone. Its tummy was really big! My mom suggested that sh e cut a hole on the box so the chick could breathe. I agreed. So she got out an enormous scissor, and we started w orking. We cut out a hole that was about as long as my pinkie. The job was completed and we felt satisfied.
I opened the box, took it out, and set it on the floor. I gently stroked its head, and it looked up at me, as if sayin g, "I like you!" It was just so cute!
When it was almost time for dinner, I took some orange, broke it into tiny pieces, and threw them into the cute litt le chick's home. Then, I threw in some white rice and bright broccoli in. To my surprise, it ate half of the broccoli, a fraction of the rice, and half of the orange! Then, I looked down at its tummy. It was as round as a ball! I won dered if it was Okay.
Finally, It was time for bed. I moved my chick into my playroon, and just left it there. It was a little bit cold in th e room.
When I woke in the next morning, the first thing I thought about was the chick. "Was it Okay? Was it still sleeping? Or was it wating for me to come? Did I need to bring a blanket for it?" I thought. I quickly went there, and open ed the cardboard box. But, guess what I saw? My face was as white as a blank, new paper. I helped it up, and felt like crying, and I ran as fast as a furious dog into my mom and dad's room, and sad, "It's dead!"
My mom asked,"Who is dead?" And then she sat up, blinking. "My baby chick! We left it in the cold weather too long! It froze!" Now my mom completely sat up and said,"Here, hand me the chick!" She said urgently. I handed h er the chick, cried, and she hugged it closely to her, my mom said,"Everything is going to be okay now!" "Come on, Let's go outside to warm it up!"
We quickly got dressed and hurried outside. "Mom, is it going to be okay?!?""I don't really know, sweetie." She held it to the sun, but it remained as still as a statue. I really wanted it alive. So I said, "Here, let me hold it." When I held it for about half a minute, it twitched its legs. Two seconds later, it groaned, turned a little, puffed her little ch est, and then opened its tiny, watery eyes. But then, it fell into a permanent sleep.

早就听说了“嬉戏谷”的大名，所以很想去看一看。这一天终于来到了。今天一大早，我和爸爸妈妈、张东怿等一行7人来到了“嬉戏谷”。
我们的第一站是“淘宝大街”。
好多的卡通人物啊，真让人眼花缭乱，有我最喜欢的凯蒂猫、聪明可爱的哆啦A梦、幽默搞笑的加菲猫??我恨不得把每个商店都逛个遍，可是这些商店还是没有游戏的魅力大。
“摩尔庄园，快看！”我招呼大家去“摩尔庄园”玩。这可是我梦寐以求的游玩区啊！可是一走进去，我的天啊，基本上都是摆设好看嘛，也没有什么好玩的。
我带着失落的心情走出“摩尔庄园”，进入下一站——传奇天下。
老爸老妈叫我带路。随着我和张东怿的大叫，我们便走进了“龙行天下”。我都不知道“龙行天下”是个啥玩意儿呢，还是去打探一下。服务员阿姨告诉我：这是个过山车，不过不属于很刺激的那种，不把人倒过来，最多只把人侧着。于是，我帮妈妈壮了壮胆（谁叫妈妈是一个胆小鬼）。见张东怿在旁边，我的小脑瓜咕噜噜一转，想出了一个鬼主意：张东怿不是很胆小吗？我就让他和我坐一排。我问张东怿行不行，只见张东怿皱着眉头说：“好吧！”看着他这副样子，我偷偷地笑了。
带着忐忑的心情，我步入了龙车。咔——咔——咔——咔！龙车唱着歌起动了，我的小心肝也跳得越来越厉害了，只听“扑通！扑通！”上坡啦！我只觉得我全身的血液都涌向了大脑，还没等我反应过来，“(⊙o⊙)哦??”龙车飞快地向下冲去。一个急转弯差点把我甩了出去。我的妈呀，我得紧紧地抱住张东怿才能保证安全。咦？车子怎么停了下来呀？正当我以为车子出故障的时候，车子又向上爬去。我的天哪，还有一轮呀！这时，我偷偷地瞥了眼张东怿，只见他脸色一会儿发紫，一会儿惨白，嘴张得好大，像公鸡打鸣。因为有了第一圈的经验，我放开了张东怿。开心地享受起扑面的清风。快乐的时光总是短暂的，不一会儿，龙车就到站了。下车的时候，我看到张东怿的眼泪都快流出来了。而我呢，高兴得像只小白兔一样蹦蹦跳跳，耶，我又一次战胜了自己！
最后我们还去了水上世界，在这里我第一次玩了水上滑滑梯，第一次感受到冲浪的滋味，第一次享受了日光浴，我也因此变成了“小四黑”。
今天的“嬉戏谷之旅”，虽然没有去恐龙园玩得尽兴，但是我又一次战胜了自己。

在这像小朋友脸蛋的八月，我和妈妈、姐姐跟一个旅游团来到了四季如春的厦门。
到了厦门之后，首先映入我眼帘的就是那路边美丽的花，这里的花品种可多了，有好多花都是我没见过的，有红的，紫的，黄的。
到了酒店，收拾一下行李，随后我们就开始了今天第一个旅游景点厦门着名的寺庙。寺庙里面有很多佛祖，这里的人有的烧香，有的磕头拜佛。不过这里有一个奇怪的风俗就是:每个人只能烧一根免费的香，而且就算是买也只能烧一根香，不管免不免费。我们问导游，导游解释说:由于来这里参观的人太多，所以只能烧一根香，如果烧太多香的话，人又多，走路的话，容易擦伤别人的皮肤，这样难免会发生争吵，那时候就麻烦了，如果是一根的话，擦伤的几率就会减少，就不容易造成麻烦。由于时
间太紧而且人又多，我们再看了几尊有名的佛祖，就去下一个景点了。
接下来，我们来到了厦门大学。在路上导游说:厦门大学不仅分数线低，容易考进去，而且环境优美，高端大气。你进去的时候是一个人，出来的时候就三五成群。哪怕进去的时候再差，出来的时候一定是满肚都是知识的学者。到了那里果真是如此，学生们一个个的都气质高大、昂头挺胸。
看过了那诗情画意的风景，感受过了那浓浓的书香之情，我们就来到了今天最好玩、最重要的旅游景点——鼓浪屿。我们坐着船进入鼓浪屿。刚进鼓浪屿，就感受到一丝热气。逛了一会，我们便吃了饭，吃完了饭，我们便踏上了快乐的鼓浪屿之路。我们一路听着导游的解说，一边看着美丽的风景，真是舒服极了～现在就感觉自己身处在一幅优雅的画面当中。过了一会，我们便开始了第一个游玩项目——坐潜艇。你知道我们是怎么上去的吗,我们是从潜艇前面的小平台踩着上去的，太让人震撼了～刚坐上去，就有一丝凉气扑身而来。潜艇准备开始走了。哦哦哦哦～
潜艇的前面开得快的时候就一翻一翻的;前面开得慢的时候就翘起来。后面全都是白色的浪花，就像真的一朵朵在盛开的花，太漂亮了～坐在潜艇中，就感觉自己是海洋之中的王者，不过，时间很快，游了一圈，天便暗了，我们便要回去了。在路上的时候，想想:坐潜艇真的太刺激了～
很快，又过了一天，我的厦门之旅就结束了。这次旅游，我可真开心呀～不仅让我了解到厦门的名胜古迹，还让我知道，去外面游玩可以有利于身体健康。我想:以后，这肯定是我生命中一段美好的回忆。

每个人都会经历许许多多的事，有些像烟云一闪而过，而有一些
却让人终生难忘。在我的脑海中也有一丝抹不去的记忆，那就是——
厦门之旅。
清晨乘车来到海边，大海上还烟雾弥漫，但是殷勤的太阳已经探
出头来了，平静的海面上顿时像是镶上了一颗硕大的红宝石，把海面
照得通红，轻纱似的薄雾也随即消失得无影无踪。
太阳升到半空时就像一个美味的鸡蛋黄，真诱人呀！阳光撒向郑
成功英雄的雕像，像是镀了一层金边闪闪发光。风一吹，郑成功的披
风似乎也随风儿飞舞了起来，这一眼前的景象让我入迷了。
太阳终于跳出了海平面，水天一色，在海天相接的地方出现了一
条白线，海面上波光粼粼。海风吹过，海浪一起一伏的打在沙滩上，
仿佛在唱着欢快的歌，细沙也散发出耀眼的光彩。
看完了海上风景，我们来到了市中心，那可以说是孩子的游乐天
地和大人的购物天堂。游乐区连成一片，让你过足了瘾。超市更是数
不胜数。超市嘛，有大的、有小的，有专卖、有杂卖，琳琅满目的商
品让你眼花缭乱。
接着，我们乘船到了鼓浪屿，进了海洋馆。这可真是大开眼界呀：
什么海龟呀，水母呀，贝壳呀、海龙或……海底动物的生活环境一目
了然。再往里走，就能看到精彩的海狮表演。光是海洋馆，就足够让
你爱上厦门了。
夜晚，整个城市到处都是灯，夜空就像一幅色彩斑斓的画。出去
逛街还能见到一些新鲜事，比如在广场上五十多岁的爷爷奶奶在跳拉
丁舞，小孩子们穿着溜冰鞋拉着手整齐的滑着冰……
厦门真是一个让我留连忘返的城市！
