However, the side effect is that many people have become over-dependent on the Internet and neglected face-to-face communication.
As far as I'm concerned, electronic communication cannot fully replace the direct contact among people. Although it seems to bring everyone together, it actually estranges people and decreases the effectiveness of communication. A typical example is that, traditionally, people working in the same office simply walk to others and talk. Today, however, co-workers tend to send e-mails or instant messages through the Internet even when they are sitting next to each other. As words can never convey the full message, it usually takes much more time and rounds of conversation than face-to-face communication, in which people can discuss more directly with less loss of information.
To conclude, the Internet enables more effective communication in some situations, but over-dependence on it actually pulls people apart.

学校赵校长高度重视本校英语教学，针对本校英语教师都由非专业教师担任的现状，他每学期都会想办法创造机会让我们英语组的教师走出去，观摩、学习优秀教师的展示课，专家教师的讲
座、培训等，耳濡目染，输入先进的教学方法和教育理念。每位教师每学期至少上一节公开课，开诚布公，取长补短，共同提高。
尽管本校英语教师都由非专业教师担任，但我校英语组是一
个精诚合作、锐意进取的团队。在教学中遇到的困惑我们都会查阅各种资料并及时的进行交流、探讨，资源共享，以保证自己的教学准确、高效、融会贯通。
二、优化方法，关注教学过程。
1.Let’s learn教学。
从教材的编排顺序看，每部分Let’s learn之前都有两组课前热身的内容，我让同学们利用熟悉的句型学习与此句型相关的新词汇，尽量做到“词不离句，句不离境”的教学理念。如六年级上册第一单元在学习日常活动短语之前，第一组热身以What do you
do every day?复习以前学习过的短语。第二组热身以What time do
you usually do something?复习时间的表达方法。做了充分的铺垫之后，新词汇的学习就轻松多了。在学习新词汇的过程中，我采用的方法主要有;(1)利用实物、图片、表情、动作、多媒体课件等教学词汇。(2)利用Listen and do活动，巩固操练词汇。这种方法主要适用于动词及动词短语以及能形象表达的词汇。(3)渗透语音教学。通过大量的练习与积累，让学生掌握常见字母及字母组合在单词中的发音规律，基本做到见词能读，听音能写。
2.Let’s talk及Let’s learn more教学.
对话是小学英语教学的重点之一，是融入核心句型和词汇的一
个重要载体。在教学时我经常尝试以下方法:(1)利用身边真实的生活情景教学真实的语言。如在教授I have a bag A部
分Let’s talk时，我指着一名学生的书包问;“Wow!A new school bag!What’s in your bag?”教师疑问的表情加上看的动作，使学生很容易就理解了这句话，对回答有困难的学生，我帮他(她)拿出一本书，如“An English book...”并示意说出其他书和文具的名字。练习几次之后我设计了一个Guessing game的游戏来提高学习的兴趣。比如:“Wow,Her/His bag is beautiful.What’s in her/his bag ?Can you guess?”用这种方法可以提高学生练习对话的频率，学生学习起来既轻松又有效。(2)合理利用教学资源，丰富对话教学.在课堂教学中，有时要受到时空的限制，无法把真实情景带到课堂。在这种情况下，我会运用教材配套的资源包，再现教学情境，做到声像结合，图文并茂。并在操练环节设计“我是小演员”或“我是小小配音员”等有趣的活动，以此来激发学生参与的热情，提高学习效果。(3)Let’s learn more部分教学与阅读和作文教学相结合。六年级两册课本Let’s learn more部分绝大多数以短文方式呈现，在初步感知文本时，我会出示相应的问题培养学生的阅读习惯。如在学习六年级上册第三单元Let’s learn more部分短文Care for“mother earth”时,我在白板上出示的问题是这样的:Question1:What bad things do we do to our earth?

each of us can do something.
the first thing we can do is to make our campus more beautiful. every one of us may plant a tree in the school, or organize a thorough cleaning on the campus. we can also form a goodhabit of putting the rubbish in the trashcan.
the second thing we can do is to protect the facilities in our school. when we leave the classroom, we should never forget to turn off the light or close the door. we should not leave the tap water running or waste any materials in the laboratory class.

1.听众，注意演讲的总体措词
演讲的总体措词是严肃活泼，是有较的说教口气用平等的口吻，等等，都要听众而定。场下听众是同龄的学生，那么演讲的内容只要风趣往往就能引起共鸣。但另一，听众大多是上了年纪的教师，太多的笑料反而会被“不严肃”，“不尊重”，而引起反感。
用英语演讲，不要用太多 i feel, i think，老是用i，显得主观，狭隘。通篇全是 i feel, i think 的内容，会给人觉得说服力。，perhaps, maybe 的词语，有“客气，谦虚”的成分，但太多会让人觉得你演讲的内容有不之处。
还有，在演讲中，要少用you，多用we。用you等于把与听众对立起来，而用we则拉近了与听众的距离。比如:you should not
smoke.听上去像教训人，而 lets not smoke听起来是不错的建议。
2.演讲要越短越好
英语演讲应该简洁扼要，直截了当。除非需要，不要采用中文
中的那种迂回曲折的表达。据专家统计，人的注意力一次只能约
13分钟。，演讲长度以10,15分钟为宜。下面是美国总统林肯所
