Last month we did a survey of home computers used by a group of young people.
We interviewed thirty young people aged between fourteen and eighteen. We asked them how much time they usually spent on their computers in a week, but we were interested in what they used the computers for. The usual time spent on a computer in a week was about twelve hours, with the highest user about thirty-two hours, and the lowest user about five hours. Twenty-six children said they usually used computers to play games. Seventeen children told us they did some word-processing(文学处理)sometimes. Only two of them said computers helped with their lessons, and eight people told us they kept addresses and phone numbers on their computers. 二、 说教材
本套教材的编写意图:
七年级英语听力简单,语法较少,阅读较短,对学生是一个养成
习惯的阶段。
而八年级英语从词语运用到句型运用 从听简单对话到较长对 话, 从情景交际到语篇理解,听力材料,语法项目,阅读短文的难 度都加深了,是初中承上启下的重要阶段,这就要求我们抓好结合, 做到稳扎稳打。
本教材编写意图更注重突出学生的主导地位,注重过程评价,面 向全体学生,帮助学生学会方法,促进交流,完成任务,体验参与的 快乐,最终达到开发课程,拓展运用的目的。
2. 编写特点:
本教材的编写有几大明显特点:如图文并茂,注重交际,词汇量 大,实用性强,还涉及了很多中外的经典阅读:如西游记,卖火柴的 小女孩等。
(二)课本体例安排:
教材以话题为单位包括四个部分 Section A是新内容的整体呈 现, Section B 是新内容的分散呈现,难度有所增加。 Section A 和 B是知识的输入过程(input ),侧重对学生听说能力的培养,分别以 对话形式在真实的语境中呈现新的语言材料,为语言的输出做准备。 Section A和 B的 1b 和 1c 在看图理解的基础上听懂对话,通过不 同的听力活动,帮助学生完成对新材料的理解,提高其听说能力。 Section B 以各单元所学内容为基础,通过各种语音活动学习基本的 语音知识,了解英语语音的特点和规律,养成自然规范的语音语调, 为有效的口语交际打下良好的基础。 金钥匙部分帮助学生养成良好的 学习习惯,掌握科学的学习方法,从而提高学习效率,成为真正的自 主学习者。 Section C 知识难度增加,以短文阅读为主 .Section C 1b 1c 通过各种形式的阅读活动,帮助学生掌握基本的阅读技能,实现 课程标准要求的阅读技能目标。 Section D是 A 、 B 、 C 的总结归纳 和整合提高 .Section D 通读 Section A--C 引导学生通过完成任务的 方式归纳本话题所学知识, 培养他们定期自主学习的好习惯。 1a 通 过题材丰富的泛读文章,进一步扩大学生的阅读量 , 同时拓展学生的 文化视野, 进而提高其跨文化交际能力。 Project 以合作探究活动形 式,促使学生通过体验,实践,讨论,合作,探究等方式,综合运用 本话题的语言知识和技能, 解决现实生活中的一些实际问题, 培养学 生语言运用的能力。 四个部分环环相扣、循序渐进,通过学生的体 验、实践、参与、合作与交流形成了一套生活化的学习程序。培养了 学生听说读写的语言技能。 每册书的 Unit1和 Unit3后增加一个复习 单元, 保留在 Unit2和 Unit4后的一个综合复习单元的设置, 引导学 生通过练习的方式及时复习所学内容, 加强形成性评价。 单元编写体

(1)拓展学科资源。用好英语教材和配套资料,组织学生写英语 周记、做英语手抄报、办英语文化节等,拓展学科视野,落实情感态 度和价值观目标。
(2)注重活动资源。积极开展活动,比如英语角、演讲、话剧表 演等,激发兴趣,拓宽渠道。
(3)运用媒体资源。如英语周报就是很好的英语学习资源。
