本课选自仁爱版义务教育教科书九年级(上) 英语Unit2 Saving the Earth Topic2 ALL these problems are very serious Section B.本单元教学以保护环境为话题,主要介绍污染给人们造成的危害, 通过贴近学生生活的事件, 让学生了解环境污染的危害以及谈论环保的问题, 培养学生的环保意识。这个话题贴近学生实际生活, 学生比较感兴趣,而且问和答的句子都不长,容易上口。本单元教材特点是话题集中,句型不多,但生词量大。这个Section B 是本单元中的一课. 本课出现了大量有关环境污染的词语和不定代词和不定副词的用法。 学生学习情况分析
九年级学生具有一定的英语基础,对于新课改的教材,他们或许不懂写、说得不流利或者不懂说。但教师只要及时鼓励,及时引导,耐心帮助他们,一定能把课本上的东西转变为自己的东西表达出来。
设计理念

第一教学环节:情景创设,导入新课
Section A主要是通过介绍环境污染的词汇,学会谈论污染对地球造成了怎样的危害,所以可采用视听导入法, 视听导入法不仅有助于学生直接理解所学英语,而且视听结合,易于加深印象,强化记忆,同时还能激发学生学习的兴趣. Show different pictures about pollution with multimedia. Then ask a-nd answer with the Ss. Try to practice the infinitive, pronoun and a-dverb in the activity.
Eg: T: What kinds of pollution does the screen show?
Ss: It showes...(air pollution, soil pollution...)
T: Does anyone like pollution?

设计意图:这一部分有关污染的生词较多,平时又很少遇到,学习起来比较枯燥,难以记住。但用图片可以使学生情绪高涨,充分认识到环境污染的危害。让学生说出污染类型的词可以展示学生自主学习的成果。让学生看着图片,在不知不觉中学习了单词,并自然而然地让学生融入英语学习的情境中,大大激发了他们的学习兴趣,吸引了学生的注意力,加深了他们对单词的印象。为后面的学习内容打下了基础,在这个教学环境中,学生是活动的主体,教师只充当了“节目主持人”的角色。
第二教学环节:师生互动,学习探究
Show some pictures related to new words in 1a with multimedia to te-ach new words.
1. Show a picture describing a great number of trees are being cut down, and say: “They are cutting down trees. What bad behavior!” Th-en show the new words “cut down, behavior” on the screen.
2. Show the scene of people with masks in the sandstorm, and say: “There is so much sand in the air. The wind is blowing strongly with lots of sand. It’s called sandstorm.” Then show the new words “sa -nd, sandstorm” on the screen.

第三教学环节:合作交流,巩固提高
在1a 和1b 的教学和操练之后, 通过一个flash 短片来从声音和动作等多方位体现沙尘暴的形成过程, 并渲染了沙尘暴的可怕之处, 以加深学生的印象. 使学生在无形中会对自己破坏环境的行为加以制止.

Mr. Brown was tired of living in the big city where he worked. He wanted to move to the
country and live in a house from which he could get to his office in the city easily every day. He
