我校每年一度以院系为单位的纵横杯辩论赛，就是我起的名字，也是假借先秦纵横家之名，学着饶舌善辩之术了。不知什么时候开始，与辩论赛结下缘，大约从八十年代中期开始，随着北大辩论队在国际大专辩论赛的“发展旅游业利大还是弊大”比赛中获胜，国内高校卷起了一阵辩论赛热潮，那是还年轻的我，不幸也赶上这个时髦，现在是难于脱身了我兼策划、点评、指导等多个角色于一身，不得不动用一点少的可怜的业余时间，做必要的关注。一下子就持续到了今天。也算身经百战了。

曾经辉煌的战绩是参与省文明委和省总工会组织的诚信主题行业辩论赛，指导本市电力系统代表队在省电力系统的循环赛中打到冠军，同时指导省工商银行代表队，结果以本市电力系统代表队为主体的省电力系统代表队与省工商银行代表队在决赛中相遇，最后省工商银行队获胜。为此，省工商银行还在地方报纸上出了专版，宣传企业文化，中间就有辩论队员的集体照，当然里面没有我。在校内的指导，有趣的一次是新闻学院代表队，每次赛前找我，分析辩题，我每

次只有一堂课的时间，总是在上课前留下一堂课，反正到时间我就走的，结果每次分析辩题稍加指导，他们就打赢了(当然不全是我的功劳，因为新闻专业在我校算是高分录取的专业，不乏才子佳人)，一直打到冠军才罢手。

当然，更多的是败绩，所在的管理学院，从来就没有问鼎冠军，多半是在半决赛中就被淘汰，最好的成绩大概就是亚军了。九十年代，我校与本市的一所军事院校结成文明共建单位，我校的辩论演讲协会总要组队和该校辩论队进行比赛，大多是该校的学生文化艺术节，评委以对方教师居多，由于投票制判定胜负，所以胜负早有定论，加上赛场设在该校，全场都是军人，气势磅礴，倾向鲜明，要想不输也难，一次我校领导参加比赛，结果没有赢，回来后规定，凡是到外校比赛，必须经团委审查同意，不得随便使用我校的名义。看来，辩论赛本来是锻炼口才、修养素质的游戏，却因为计较得失反而失去了它天然的趣味和活力。

也曾担任过本市中学生辩论赛的策划和评委，记得一次决赛，在名校和非名校之间进行，名校学生势在必得，盛气凌人，但是非名校稳扎稳打，不为所动，结果以微弱优势赢了，名校学生自然不服，非要找评委理论。随即市广播电台现场直播采访，非要我当场分析各方利弊得失，这种吃力不讨好的事情的确勉为其难。只好说些折衷甚至违心的话了。

辩论赛制的变化和评委旨趣的倾向，对辩论赛的影响很大。

至少可以分为理性派和技巧派，前者强调理论框架的严谨，基本逻辑的严密，后者注重现场效果的渲染，即兴发挥的灵气，更多带有情绪和表演的色彩。我比较倾向于前者，毕竟辩论的智慧、思想和逻辑是高智商的展示和游戏，过分追求词藻的华丽，现场的反应，总觉得失之浅保所以，最近中央电视台的张泽群以担任国际大专辩论赛主持人的身份，评点今年的网辩，多少给人华而不实，玩弄技巧的印象，在他看来，是有点走样了。

辩论赛对参加者的训练的确是多方面的，然而，却是十分辛苦的事情，分析辩题，确定立场，构思框架，揣摩对方，撰写文稿，取舍材料，口才演练，分工配合，形体雕琢，修炼涵养，操守礼仪，无一处不得大意，即使如此，实战中现场变化纷繁，顺时应变，也难稳操胜券。记得一次首都师大与马来西亚大学在新加坡国家大专辩论赛得决赛中相遇，辩题是“真理越辩越明”，首都师大为正方，结果反方提出宗教信仰是否可以越辩越明，首都师大就陷于被动，最后失利，赛后评委代表金庸点评说，宗教信仰不属于真理问题，不适用本场辩题，一语道破，可是当时首都师大就是没有反应过来。

我所了解的高校辩手，不少毕业后改行进入新闻媒体做主持人，中央电视台先后就有好几位。我校的一些辩手，毕业后虽然未必都以口才为业，但是，在校期间参加辩论赛所修

炼出来的灵气、机敏、思辨、自信、睿智、好胜、敢斗等品质，对于日后的事业发展是很有帮助的。

(附记:从4日起，就开始指导省电力系统的职工主题辩论赛了，在四天之内，除初赛题目事先抽签决定，以后复赛、半决赛和决赛都是现场抽签，临时决定题目和正反方，这就要求现在准备三场题目六个立场，思维强度之高，正反矛盾之烈，时间要求之紧，都是前所未有的挑战，辩论的魅力就在于，比赛前无论怎样准备，都难以穷尽辩题的全部意义，也无法预料对手的套路和招数，即使比赛有个输赢，那个辩题所带来的思想激荡在脑海里掀起的潮水迟迟不愿退去，也许，这就是辩论赛的魅力，尽管辛苦、烦神，还是乐此不疲)
